The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is fighting to stop the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline #NoDAPL . 

This pipeline will cross right under the Missouri river at Lake Oahe, the reservations main source of drinking water. A leak or a spill could prove disastrous. 

The DAPL will also run through a stretch of land that contains sacred sites and burial places. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is fighting to prevent any further bulldozing and construction which will continue to damage these sacred sites.
